The Network has been funded by the Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology (GSRT) in order to design the construction and implementation of the national node as the Greek contribution to the European Infrastructure of LIFEWATCH (ESFRI, FP7).

Dr Christos Arvanitidis presented the HELBIONET project during his talk on Marine Ecosystem Biodiversity for the meeting "Biodiversity: the comparative advantage of Greece". The meeting was organised on the 3rd of June 2010 by the Environment Council of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for the World Environment Day 2010. Please see the attached letter.
